The ones I would buy:
Ok, I don’t need these shoes. I have to keep telling myself that because they aren’t really that expensive (on sale for $142 on Shopbop) so I COULD buy them. But no, I don’t need them. I can’t walk around the city in heels like that. But they are SOOOO pretty! So, if you live in a place where you don’t have to walk everywhere, then you might need them, and you should buy them now, while they are on sale and before they sell out 🙂
Trend: Rag & Bone Newbury Booties
It’s pretty obvious why celebs like Sienna Miller, Rachel Bilson and Nikki Reed can’t get enough of these adorable booties. They are so versatile and easy to wear with thier mid-sized heel and simple design. Since I am not willing to drop $500 on shoes, I found a few “look alikes” listed below. I put in links to the originals, the mid-grade look alike (Steve Madden’s that I actually purchased today) and the super-cheap versions that give you the look without the price.

I just stumbled upon this site and wanted to share.
It sells pieces from a lot of the hottest designers at huge discounts. Obviously, these items are all from previous seasons, but a lot of them are really cute and you can’t beat the prices.
This Akiko Silk top for only $62
They have a huge selection and adorable styles. I have ordered from them many times before and am never disappointed.
Just discovered this one! I’m thinking about getting these for only $25.90!
Or these for only $18.90!
Perfect for the Summer, this multi colored dress by Hale Bob has a handkerchief hem and empire waistline making it comfortable yet flirty.
You can get a very similar dress at Victoria’s secret on sale now for only $45.
As seen on Kyle Richards from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, this sheer white lace trimmed tunic is a beautiful staple to any wardrobe this Spring. It has that hint of 70s style that makes it on trend, yet it is classic enough to look great tucked into a pair of straight legged slacks.
As much as I absolutely love this top, I can’t let myself spend $300 on it. So, I have found an alternative:
I have actually ordered this top myself, but unfortunately, it will not be available until May 7th. Check back to see my review of this top in early May.
As seen on Sarah Jessica Parker on the cover of the January issue of Elle , this green dress does not fit as nicely and you would hope. I had a chance to try it on the other day and was disappointed with the results. First of all, the fit is very “babydoll” like with the waistline hitting right below your chest. The only thing you can do to get away from this babydoll look is loosen the lining, which will make the neckline and waistline lower. Unfortunately, this causes the batwing back of the dress to catch your elbows any time you move your arms. You can see what I mean by looking at the pictures of the dress on a model for Neiman Marcus here:
The back doesn’t look like a problem on this model because of her height. If you are 5’8″ or taller, you may not have any problems with the back catching your elbows. O
If you notice on the cover of Elle, SJP is wearing a black belt with the dress. She loosened the lining as much as possible to make the waistline low and then belted it so that the shape would be flattering. Of course, she is a very petite woman, so getting the waistline low on her is easier than it would be on the average sized woman. Also, you can see that her elbows are covered by the back of the dress. This looks fine in the photo, but that is because she isn’t trying to move around.
If you still want this dress, it is available at the following stores:
